The Past
Darren has spent his entire life on the coast of British Columbia, which has embedded a deep love and understanding for the area. Growing up on Vancouver Island, Darren spent his teenage years designing ski and snowboard parks at various resorts. At the ripe age of 18 Darren was elected to serve on the Mount Cain Alpine Board of Directors as the
Terrain Park Director. This enabled Darren to put his natural leadership skills to use and helped him build on managerial qualities to achieve set goals while serving on the board. Darren later moved to Vancouver for education, graduating from Vancouver Film School with a diploma in Entertainment Business and Marketing.
After school Darren took a position as the Operations Manager at a high-end millwright company that worked primarily on Vancouver’s Westside. Managing a mid sized business with many employees under his direction Darren developed a passion for BC’s private sector and politics. It was also here that Darren became infatuated with the architecture and people on the Westside of Vancouver. Having multiple family members in real estate (but none in the Vancouver area), Darren started to plan his career change and handed over the reigns.
